Established by Wesleyan Reformers who seceded from Moldgreen Wesleyan Methodist Church 1851.
Bought Wesleyan chapel in Chapel Street (see above) 1857.
Chapel enlarged 1864.
New chapel built in front of old one 1876-78; old chapel then became Sunday School.
Closed 1947; congregation joined Dalton St Paul's Methodist Church.
Building in Chapel Street later used as a Civic Youth Club.
Building in Chapel Street reopened as a Memorial Hall 1968.
